Who are we?
I am a newly graduated engineer who constantly attends parties and plays beer pong with his friends. I often am the one who helps clean up spills and any messes caused by the party attendees. I have great respect for the game of beer pong and all the rules and standards that make it a fun game to play.
What are we offering?
I am offering a cheap and environmentally friendly alternative to expensive beer pong tables that will keep the beer pong cups on the table and prevent any accidental spills. This product is made entirely out of cardboard making it an inexpensive and easily disposable option. Additionally, the Cardboard Cup Guard will ensure that it does not influence the rules or standards that the game requires.
Who are we offering it to?
People who want to host parties but also keep their furniture or flooring clean and spill free. There is also the added benefit for people who want to play beer pong outside. The template will keep the cups on the table regardless of the player or the weather conditions.
Why does that person care?
Beer spills are not only very damaging to nearby furniture and floors, it is also regarded as an extreme waste and can be considered a serious party foul. Any way to prevent a cup from tipping is an invaluable opportunity, as beer often leaves a lasting smell, uncomfortable stickiness, and an unsightly stain.
Our distinctive competencies
I understand the rules and standards of the game that must be upheld. I’ve played beer pong indoors and outdoors and understand the different risks associated with playing the game in either environment.
The cardboard material makes this product inexpensive to produce and easy to dispose of, which fits the house party environment very well.
The substitutes & alternatives
The substitutes and alternatives include purchasable beer pong table sets with built-in holes. These are often expensive and hard to transport. They also are reputed to suffer immensely with the standard wear and tear of frequent parties. Additionally, they often cannot stand up to the rigours of the outdoors and are hard to fit into a car for a camping trip.
Our first key person
The first person is Ryan. A student who lives in a rented house with his friends. He often hosts parties at his place, and beer pong is one of the main attractions for many.
Ryan cares because he understands the consequences of having spilled beers on the floor or the walls of his rental unit. His damage deposit is at risk, as well as the general appeal of the rental space.
My promise to Ryan is to provide an inexpensive alternative to a beer pong table that will keep the game on the table, beer of the floor, and his landlord happy.
Our second key person
The second person is Pat. A new homeowner that hosts annual beer pong tournaments and frequent house parties with all his friends.
Pat cares because his new floors, carpet, and walls are at high risk for stains and damage given an accidental spill in a beer pong game. He’s even taken to moving the games to his garage in case of an incident.
My promise to Pat is to provide a stable cup guard that prevents spills inside his home so that he and his friends can enjoy their games in the natural environment of his new house, rather than in cold garage.
Our third key person
The person is Kristen. A frequent camper who like to play a variety of drinking games during her trips with friends. Top among them being beer pong.
Kristen cares because she constantly has to battle the different elements when making her trips to the outdoors. When a beer pong cup tips due to the wind, it can cause frustration that should otherwise not be present in the indoor environment.
My promise to Kristen is to provide a method that enables her to play beer pong in any windy conditions and not worry about spilling any highly valued beer.
