FAMSYS

A Trackbeeping Passport Cover

Our Idea

Who are we?

We are engineers from different part of world. Our team consist of lead Software Developers and Project Management specialists.

What are we offering?

We are offering Passport safety.

It is a passport cover which helps you to keep your passport within your desired range.

Who are we offering it to?

Our primary customers are First time traveler’s and International students.

Why does that person care?

Everybody’s is aware of the importance of passport. If you lose it, you will have to go through various government procedures from foreign country. Its better to never lose it.

This is:

  • Safe and secure.
  • Cheap.
  • Reliable.
  • Easy to use.
  • Zero maintenance.

Our distinctive competencies

This is the first time in market to use this technology to track.

  • 24 X 7 smart tracking with decided range.
  • One person can track multiple passport.

The substitutes & alternatives

There is no available case through which you can track the passport.

A “tile” can be used but it does not provide the exact distance between you and passport. A tile works on Bluetooth technology which can be easily hacked, while this technology is almost impossible to hack. Other technologies like GPS makes it costly during International trips.

The Key Personas and the Value They See

Our first key persona

Our first key person is our own team member Mr. Mobeen, first time traveler, international student who lost his passport.

He cares because he knows the pain of loosing a passport in a new country where it is the only identity he had. It took three months for him to get a new passport with the new study permit.

We can assure him that, the chances of loosing his passport can be minimized by using our FAMSYS Passport Cover.

Our second key persona

Our second key person is George, who is the first time international traveler who traveled from Mexico to Calgary.

He cares as he was very much cautious and worried about keeping his passport safe during his journey.

Sigh of relief of keeping his passport safe and secure with continuous monitoring.

Our third key persona

Our third key person is Ms. Neha, who is an international student and a first time traveler.

She cares because she is afraid of losing the passport and further consequences.

we are promising her that, she can keep and monitor her passport always safe and within range.

Not much information included in this pitch especially on the process of implementing this technology into passports which has some serious issues regarding security and governments
    Good demonstration of the product

Your idea is very good, but I think your three persona is similar, and if the technology is based on wifi, a potential problem is that when traveler travels in a foreign country , I think most of time they walk around and use data plan rather than wifi… Another suggestion is that hope you can have more enthusiasm in the pitching.

i really like your idea, hope it helps many people because passport is most important thing for a person.
I would like to say that if the device is fixed with the passport or just it will be fixed with cover.. if it cover then why passport alone.. why can’t preapre small wallet kind of thing which will can carry credit cards passport phone and small head phone,. It because the things I said is always with the people who travels.. if such things can be kept in that then no need to carry bag too.. smart wallet that is enough to travel.. Because I came across the wallet which has all such items can be kept and have anti theft device too..

I love the story you told, quite compelling.
break it:Your pitch seems didn’t show who are you part, didn’t show why you are the right team.
better it: you can explain more about how does it work since you still have time. And voice up, it was hard to hear at least in the vedio.

Great Pitch. However it does not clarify that would it locate the passport exactly because it is telling only the out of range radius? So my break it/better it suggestion would be to clarify it how the solution works in finding the passport once it is detected out of range.

I like the idea. It could potentially be a trouble for people who don’t have access to wifi. Perhaps one way to better it is to create a briefcase or a file that can be tracked and travellers can keep all their important documents in that briefcase (passports, boarding passes, IDs etc)
    .

I heard one of there iterations stating that the device works in a certain range, my question is if the range is exceeded how does it work then, it is not solving the problem fully. The idea seems good but if the passport is accidentally take by someone else, and if he surpasses the range the device can detect, the lost item cannot be recovered. My suggestion would be if the range of the device is turned such that it can cover any distance, then I’d back the idea saying it is commendable, but if the range is restricted to a certain distance, it is not solving the problem fully.

The idea of tracking passport is very original and the importance of passport is obvious. Your team also consists of talented and smart persons who can make this idea come true. From my knowledge, there isn’t any substitutes in the market now and your product is absolutely great for people who travel a lot. And this product can also apply to many different things which are of great importance to you. But I think that you need to mention the price and how you can do to protect user’s privacy.

Your team’s idea is great especially for international student. But I think your three persona are a little bit narrow.
Better it: I think your team can have a video or model to show how it works and consider deeply about substitutes and alternative .
Break it: if the passport was stolen or out of the range of your offering can detect, what should your customers do?

I like the idea, but some things to consider:

    – Providing details on why your team has the right capabilities to do the job
    – What will you do if a thief just removes the passport from the pouch (since you did mention its to prevent stealing)?
    – You mentioned that there are current gps technologies, but what makes yours inherently better?
    – Is there anything distinctive competencies that will separate your product from other similar tracking devices?

The idea is good, and I think its a legitimate problem that needs a solution, so in that area I commend you.
