An initiative student, who wants to make other students’ and all financially restrained people’s lives easier and more comfortable.
A feasible, portable, light and comfortable cardboard pocket projector to enjoy movies and make presentations wherever and whenever needed.
Primarily to the students of the University of Calgary, of succeeded, to anyone in Calgary/Alberta/Canada/America/World, who’s short on money, but needs an affordable projector. At the same time, it is portable, very light and easy to use, so anyone who needs comfort, style and easiness is more that welcome to purchase this product
As this projector is
1 year’s experience in engineering and design. 2 years’ experience in marketing and procurement. Passion for making things out of cardboard.
Classic projectors, or not using any projector at all, sufficing cell-phone, tablet, PC or TV
My first key person is Britney, who is student of Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary
She cares because she needs to give presentations frequently and sometimes classroom projectors are broken, or unplugged or unavailable for any other reason.
My promise to her is that from now on she does not need to care about the accessibility of the classroom projector, as she is always ready to present with her new portable and stylish “Pocket Project” projector.
Our second key person is Joshua and Martin, a lovely couple, that enjoys watching movies in the evening lying in bed.
They care because holding a tablet or laptop is not exactly comfortable and screens are not sufficiently big.
My promise to them is to provide a “Pocket Project” portable projector that they may put on the bedside table and enjoy movies, projected either to the wall or ceiling of their room.
Our third key person is Marque Prokazoff, a project manager in XYZ oil company.
He cares because from time to time he needs to give presentations away from comfortable conference-rooms in the HQ of XYZ company Downtown Calgary. To present in the field, where he might even not be provided with a projector he needs a portable and light projector elegant enough to satisfy a businessman
My promise to them is that he no longer needs a full-scale projector. With “Pocket Project” light, portable and elegant projector he will always be able to present anything he needs even in the most unwelcoming conditions.

Customer definition is clear. Value offered looks nice for proposed target personae, yet questionable for anyone else, should they wish to expand their market space. Number of substitutes is not sufficient and they are not sufficiently descriptive. For 2 out of 3 target is seems to be a nice candy, for one a real painkiller. Team lacks competence in getting the product to market initially.
