Our Idea

Who are we?

An engineer with some design experience, passionate about health and fitness.

What are we offering?

An attachment for a universal cable machine. Wide or narrow grip bar where the ends of the bar can be adjusted to be either straight with the bar or angled. This can be adjusted by the user based on exercise or ergonomic comfort level for the user.

Who are we offering it to?

Why does that person care?

The equipment manufacturer can offer a premium product for a premium price. The gym owner can reduce the amount of unused equipment. The user can adjust the equipment based on use or their personal ergonomic comfort.

The Value

Our first key person

The first key person is the fitness equipment manufacturer.

They care because the Snap Bar could prove to be a premium product that would allow them an edge over their competitors.

The promise to them is provide a product that their customers will pay a premium price for.

The main intent would be to patent the product and sell the design to the equipment manufacturer. They have much more knowledge regarding the manufacturing of the equipment, and would provide a better service.

Our second key person

The second key person is the gym owner.

They care because having premium equipment can help attract new customers to their gym. This product can reduce the clutter of equipment on the gym floor. This is because it is essentially two products in one, a straight and angled bar. Having a dual use product can prevent their customers from waiting to use specific piece of equipment and improve the satisfaction of the gym user.

My promise to them is to provide a high performing piece of equipment to attract new customers.

Our third key person

The third key person is the equipment user, either at a gym or at home.

They care because this product can ease strain on the users wrists, and be adjusted to each individual users wrist comfort. Having a product that is multi use can eliminate the current “supply/demand” problem that exists regarding gym equipment

Our promise to them is to provide a comfortable product to ease wrist strain and increase productivity.

This is a great idea! Every time I try to use any cable machines at my gym, I can only find the straight bar or the rope. It seems like there isn’t a proper way of organizing the cable equipment unless the gym staff are on top of it! As for the potential customers, I think you’ve definitely placed them accordingly. I personally think very few home users would purchase it unless they’ve misplaced or broken an attachment. However, for gym owners and manufacturers, such as GoodLife, this would be optimum for them so they don’t have to worry about organization (but can instead focus on maintenance).

I have definitely experienced this issue as an avid gym goer myself and would definitely benefit from a product like this.

An awesome and innovative idea! Perfect for HIIT workouts where time is wasted in between reps fumbling to find the proper handles or fiddling with grips. 10/10!
